About us
A staffing company that actually picks up the phone.
Tico Staffing is based in Colorado and works with employers across the United States. We started because the businesses around us kept running into the same wall: the work was there, the workers were not, and the agencies they called sent whoever happened to be available.
We do two things. We staff positions with people who show up and do the job. And we recruit abroad for employers running H-2B, whose seasonal need is real, temporary, and bigger than the local labor market can meet. They handle the petition; we find the people and get them there.
Both sides of that work depend on the same thing — being straight with people. We tell employers when H-2B won't work for their situation. We tell workers exactly what a job pays and what it involves before they commit. That's a slower way to grow, and it is the only way this business holds up.
How we operate
We stay through the season
Placing a crew is the easy part. We keep coordinating after arrival — schedules, questions, replacements — instead of handing over names and disappearing.
Bilingual by default, not as a feature
Our team works in English and Spanish. Instructions, contracts, and support all happen in the language the person actually speaks.
No shortcuts on who we send
Every candidate is vetted and their documents checked before we put a name forward. Sending someone who falls apart in week two costs a client far more than the placement was ever worth.
We say no
If a request doesn't fit the program, or the timeline has already passed, we say so. An honest no is more useful than an expensive maybe.
